Tours of Parliament and PMQs
Are you interested in a tour of the Palace of Westminster, or want to be in the gallery for Prime Minister’s Question Time? Please email via the contact details below to submit your request, but read the following guidance before you do so. There is no charge for either of these MP-sponsored visits.
Top tips for a successful tour application:
– Be as flexible as you can with your possible start time – the most popular ones are after 11am and not as easy to secure
– Provide as many possible dates as you can
– Know in advance who you wish to bring with you
Tours of Parliament
Members’ sponsored tours of Parliament are available on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons when Parliament is in session, or Monday mornings when the House isn’t sitting. You get a professionally guided tour around the Palace of Westminster including both the House of Commons and House of Lords.
These are booked five months in advance of your tour date and you can have up to 25 in a group. Once an application has been confirmed as being successful, you will receive a letter and tour permit prior to your visit.
Permits also enable you to visit the Jewel Tower for free, if you ring them on the day to confirm your attendance using the number on the permit that will be provided.
Prime Minister’s Question Time
“PMQs” takes place every Wednesday at midday, when Parliament is in session. MPs only get allocated six tickets per year (in three blocks of two only).
Please note there are no tours available on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Sitting weeks: Monday mornings before midday; Friday afternoons
Recess weeks: Monday mornings only
