Rt Hon Sir David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, supported Ms Truss during the campaign. He commented: “I am delighted Liz has been elected as our new Party Leader and will become our next Prime Minister. She’s incredibly talented and experienced, and I know she will implement the bold Conservative policies needed to continue to grow our economy, deal with the problems facing our nation and unleash our country’s full potential”.
