Evennett supports FE Colleges at Parliamentary event

Rt Hon David Evennett, Member of Parliament for Bexleyheath and Crayford met with the Principals of Further Education Colleges at a Parliamentary reception at the House of Commons on Monday afternoon, 15 June.

The event was organised by the Association of Colleges, the membership body for Further Education Colleges and other providers across the country.

Mr Evennett met with Bexley College Principal, Danny Ridgeway, who was also at the event, and Lambeth College Principal Mark Silverman, whom he first met when he served as Shadow Minister for Further and High Education.

Mr Evennett said “Further Education Colleges play a vital role in training people of all ages. As a former lecturer at Bexley College and Shadow Minister, I have seen at first-hand how their innovative approaches to vocational training ensure that individuals can learn new skills and businesses have the trained workforce that they need.”

He added “I work closely with Bexley College and remain a big supporter of the work that they do.”
