Raising awareness of dementia in the community

Angela & David Evennett MPRt Hon David Evennett MP is pictured at the House of Commons this week with Alzheimer’s Society Ambassador Angela Rippon OBE. The charity had arranged the event for MPs to talk about diagnosis and treatment in their constituency and plans for the future.

Mr Evennett said “There are over one thousand people in Bexleyheath and Crayford who are living with dementia, and its effects impact upon the thousands more who care for them. It is important to continue raising awareness of dementia so that those who are living with the condition get diagnosed as soon as possible and both patients and families get the support that they need.”
