Rt Hon Jeremy Wright QC MP, the Attorney General, visited Bexleyheath on Thursday evening, 12 February. He was the guest speaker at a Bexleyheath and Crayford Conservative Association Dinner held at the Conservative Club in the Broadway.
The Attorney General spoke to the 60 guests about his role in the Government and highlighted the reforms he believed were necessary in the field of Human Rights. In particular, he felt that the European Courts needed to appreciate that it should be the British Parliament and British Courts that should make the final decisions.
After his speech he took questions on a variety of subjects. The vote of thanks was given by Association Chairman Simon Windle and amongst the guests were David Evennett MP and his wife Marilyn, Councillors and activists.
