David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, has signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment at the House of Commons, in advance of Holocaust Memorial Day.
27th January marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, the site of the largest mass murder in history.
Mr Evennett said “We must never forget the atrocities that occurred during the Second World War, and remember those who were murdered during the Holocaust. The issues of intolerance and inhumanity remain just as relevant today and we must all stand together to fight prejudice and discrimination.”
