2000 local people eligible for heating help

homeheatDavid Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, is encouraging constituents to see if they are eligible for extra help with heating costs at home.

Home Heat Helpline is funded by Britain’s major energy suppliers and supported by a range of support organisations including Age UK, Citizens Advice; National Energy Action, Energy Saving Trust and Gingerbread. The Home Heat Helpline offers advice on energy efficiency, switching suppliers, as well as eligibility for financial support from individual energy suppliers, the Warm Home Discount and insulation and heating system upgrades people could be entitled to.

Mr Evennett said “As many as 2000 households in my constituency could be eligible for help, yet most will not know where to turn to get advice. I hope people will call the Home Heat Helpline on 0800 33 66 99 to see if they are entitled to support this winter.”
