Evennett donates Mythical Maze books to Crayford Library

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, is doing his bit to encourage children to read over the school holidays. This morning, he dropped in to Crayford Library in Townhall Square, Crayford, to give them three books on behalf of the Reading Agency for the Summer Reading Challenge.

Every year, thousands of families all over the country take part in the UK’s biggest reading event for children in libraries, the Summer Reading Challenge, run by the charity The Reading Agency. Each year has a different theme, and in 2014, it is “Mythical Maze”.

Mythical Maze

Children sign up at the library and receive a mythical maze poster. As they borrow and read library books over the summer, children collect stickers of mythical creatures to complete their poster and discover facts about the creatures as they go.

To find out more, visit one of Bexley’s libraries and sign-up.
