The Rotary Club of Crayford presented the Crayford Fun Day on Saturday 14 June at the Waterside Gardens in the centre of Crayford Town. David Evennett MP officially opened the event and together with Bexley’s new Mayor, Cllr Howard Marriner, started the first Duck Race on the river Cray.
There were charity stalls, games, a bouncy castle, a strong man competition and real owls as well as the brilliant yellow Crayford Quakers ducks.
In addition there were Morris Dancers, and a performance by the Sylvera Dance School. Despite the occasional shower of rain the event was popular and well supported with all proceeds going to local charities.
