Mr Evennett arranged the meeting so that Mr Hayes, who is also a Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister, could learn more about manufacturing in Bexleyheath and Crayford.

He met Commercial Director Peter Shawyer and Managing Director Andy McLeod to discuss the firm’s markets and their products, as well as business and skills policies.

Mr Evennett said “I am proud that a dynamic and innovative company like Texcel Technology is based in my Bexleyheath and Crayford constituency. They continue to expand and grow, recently winning a significant contract with the Marine Institute of Ireland. Texcel is an excellent example of the kind of high-tech business that the Government needs to encourage and support.”

Afterwards, John and David both spoke at a lunch organised by the Bexleyheath and Crayford Conservative Ladies.
