Evennett tells pupils to reach for the stars

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, was the guest speaker at a special Assembly at Normandy Primary School on Friday morning (7 February). A series of such events have been organised to motivate pupils to work hard at School so that they can achieve.

Mr Evennett spoke about the importance of studying hard in mathematics and English, as these subjects provide the solid foundation needed to succeed. He also spoke about his role as a Member of Parliament and how his education and hard work helped to achieve his dream of being elected to the House of Commons.

He encouraged the pupils to reach for the stars and told them that if they do well at school, they can make it. Other guest speakers at the School have included the Mayor of Bexley and an athlete.
