David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, met with representatives of Royal Mail at Conservative Party Conference on Monday afternoon (30 September) to discuss the designation of Crayford as a separate postal town. In a discussion with David Gold, Head of Public Affairs, made a strong case for Crayford to be used rather than Dartford.
Mr Evennett said “In terms of size, geography, history and community links, Crayford should be recognised separately by Royal Mail. Local people are rightly concerned about this matter. I hope that they will take on board the representations I have made and come up with a solution to this problem.”
