David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, visited Stead and Wilkins Ltd in Crayford on Friday afternoon (13 September). The firm, based in Jolly Farmer’s Wharf off of Thames Road, offer a variety of products including fabrication, precision engineering and electro-engineering to the defence, rail and highways sectors.
He met with the Managing Director, Gary Stead, to talk about the company’s operations, how they are performing in the current economic climate and any particular issues they are experiencing. He was also shown around the factory floor.
