David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, paid a visit to the BCU Life Skills Centre on Friday afternoon (8 March).
The Centre provides support, guidance and practical help to men and women experiencing unemployment or low income in the Borough of Bexley. This includes life skills courses, one to one counselling and group work for women with children. They are open on Thursdays and Fridays at Trinity Baptist Church in Bexleyheath.
Mr Evennett is a strong supporter of the BCU Life Skills Centre and will be at the start of their annual fundraising walk on 20th April.
During his visit, he was able to observe one of the first aid courses run at the Centre. He also met with the Charity’s Co-Ordinator Ellen Ewen to discuss their current situation and future plans. He also chatted to Centre visitors.
