Crookloggers’ Easter Tea

DSCF2273sDavid Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, was one of the special guests at the Crookloggers Fitness Group’s Easter High Tea at St John Vianney Church Hall in Bexleyheath on Wednesday afternoon (6 March).

Crookloggers Fitness Group is a self-funding organisation which runs four standing or chair-based aerobics classes to music every week. Open to both males and females, their membership is aged between 65 and 93.

Over 60 members enjoyed sandwiches, tea and cakes at the event. An Easter bonnet competition was held with guests asked to wear their own designs.

After meeting all the members, Mr Evennett was asked to give a short speech, during which he spoke about the importance of keeping active and taking part in regular exercise. He also praised the group for their social and fundraising activities in the community.

Also amongst the guests were Bexley Mayor Cllr Alan Downing and his wife, Mayoress Cllr Ross Downing.
