Macmillan Coffee Mornings

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, attended a Macmillan coffee morning hosted by Barnehurst resident Ann Rawlings today.

Mrs Rawlings, together with Neal and Hilary Haslam, started early, setting up a stall outside her home to sell coffee to commuters on their way to Barnehurst Station. This alone raised over £70.

Other local residents and friends, including Mr Evennett and his wife Marilyn, attended later in the morning, enjoying coffee, biscuits and a chat.

Guests are pictured outside Mrs Rawlings’ home, at the stall.

Afterwards, he was the special guest at a coffee morning at the Welling High Street branch of Barclays bank.

It was organised by branch cashier Kelly Foden. Mr Evennett helped Kelly, her colleague Kelly Edgecombe and branch Manager Jane Bahar to sell cakes to customers. Pictured: Jane Bahar (front), Kelly Edgecombe, David Evennett MP and Kelly Foden.
