Bexley College Award Ceremony

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, was the guest speaker at Bexley College’s Celebration of Achievement ceremony last night (12 July). Mr Evennett congratulated students on their awards in a variety of subject areas during the event at the College’s Tower Road site and wished them all well for the future.

During his speech, he spoke about the importance of training and upskilling, as Britain is still suffering from skills shortages and has fallen behind our international competitors. Mr Evennett said that with investment in apprenticeships and the Government’s determination to improve the value and rigour of qualifications, people could have more opportunities to make the most of themselves.

He also praised Bexley College and their staff for their improved Ofsted report and for the wide-range of courses on offer.
