Evennett launches ASDA’s Community Life Board

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, officially launched ASDA’s Community Life Board at their Broadway store on Monday morning.

Mr Evennett was invited by their newly appointed Community Life Champion Bruce Levy to unveil the initiative, which allows local people to support different charities by placing a token in the box of the organisation they wish to support.

The charity then receives a share of money in line with the proportion of tokens they receive in that quarter.

The first three charities to benefit from this scheme will be Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, Bexley Mencap and The Salvation Army.

The Board also highlights fundraising achievements and other events that are taking place.
