David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, has written to NHS London Chief Executive Dame Ruth Carnall DBE to see an update on plans to create a Health Campus at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup.
Plans submitted by local Doctors could mean a more secure future for the Hospital site, where including primary care, elective surgery and diagnostic services could be provided.
In his letter, Mr Evennett said:
“The financial situation facing South London Healthcare NHS Trust is still of real concern, as is the condition of some areas of the Hospital. I am therefore keen that the health campus proposals can be developed further and changes delivered as soon as possible. I would be grateful if you could advise me of the current situation.”
