At Christmas, we can all come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus and reflect on the Christian messages of peace and love at this important time of year.
Whether you are enjoying the company of family or friends during this festive period, we must all remember those who have given their lives in the service of our country, those who are suffering from illness and people who are less fortunate.
2011 has been another challenging year for Britain. The Prime Minister and the Government have been working hard to ensure that the effects of Eurozone crisis on our economy are minimised and that Britain’s interests are protected. Much needed reforms of immigration, welfare, health, education and justice systems are all also underway.
Christmas is also a time to reflect on the future. In 2012, we look forward to welcoming the Olympic and Paralympic Games to London, and hopefully, the re-election of Boris Johnson as Mayor of London.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
