£10million more for local health services

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, has welcomed the announcement made by the Health Secretary today (14 December) that the Government will be allocating an extra £10million for NHS services in Bexley in 2012/13.

In the 2012/13 revenue allocations to Primary Care Trusts, Rt Hon Andrew Lansley MP announced that Bexley will receive £350.8million for recurrent allocations and £15million for non-recurrent allocations.

Commenting on the decision, Mr Evennett said “I am pleased that Conservative Ministers have kept their promise to protect the NHS budget and increase funding for local services. This extra money will help to sustain and improve health services for patients, despite the tough economic and financial climate.”
