Evennett meets local pharmaceutical committee representatives

David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, held a meeting with representatives of the Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich Local Pharmaceutical Committee in Bexleyheath on Friday morning, 4 November.

Mr Matharu, Mr Patel and Mr Evennett discuss community pharmaciesThe meeting followed Mr Evennett’s debate on public health in Westminster Hall on Wednesday 26 October, during which he suggested that community pharmacies could have a role to play in helping to tackle local health inequalities.

He met with the committee Chairman, Mr Bipin Patel, and Chief Officer, Mr Raj Matharu, to discuss access to pharmacies, the services that they currently offer and those that could potentially be provided in the future to raise awareness and improve screening of various conditions.
