PPS learns of Thamesmead School’s achievements

St John Fisher Catholic School David Evennett MP, PPS to the Secretary of State for Education, visited St John Fisher Catholic Primary School in Kale Road, Thamesmead on Friday morning at the invitation of the Head, Mary Ryan.

He was given a tour of the school by Mrs Ryan and the Chair of Governors, before meeting pupils to discuss their favourite subjects, after school clubs and opinions of the school.

Mr Evennett also heard of the school’s excellent performance, which includes:

– Getting the highest Contextual Value Added score in the London Borough of Bexley
– Being third best in Bexley for average pupil points score at Key Stage 2
– All pupils achieving Level 4 or above in both English and Maths at Key Stage 2
