The price of Labour’s economic mismanagement

New research has shown that someone on average earnings in Bexleyheath and Crayford will spend 18 days just paying the interest on Labour’s debt this year.

Labour left the country with an annual overspend of £156 billion, greater than at any point in our peacetime history. Money spent just paying the interest on their £790 billion debt bill is money that could otherwise be spent on front line services.

Commenting, David Evennett MP said:

“Labour left Britain in a dire financial state with spiralling debts. People on an average salary in Bexleyheath and Crayford are working 18 days a year just to help pay the interest on Labour’s debt.

“If we listened to the Labour Party, the debt would be even higher and Britain’s financial state even worse”.
