David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, was given a tour of Oxleas NHS Trust’s Urgent Care Centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital on Friday 24 September.
He met with the Trust Chief Executive, Stephen Firn, and staff at the unit, which Oxleas operates between 8am and 10pm seven days a week.
The UCC is part of Bexley Community Health Services, which transferred to Oxleas from Bexley Primary Care Trust earlier this year. It provides care for patients who have minor fractures, wounds, illnesses and injuries.
