Queen’s Speech sets out Government’s agenda

After the State Opening of Parliament on Tuesday 25 May, the Queen outlined the new coalition Government’s programme for the for this Parliamentary session. You can click here to read the Queen’s Speech in full.

Commenting on the Queen’s Speech, David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, said “Britain faces significant challenges after 13 years of Labour government. I believe that the programme set out in the Queen’s Speech is rational, moderate and constructive and will deal with many issues, including immigration, health, crime, education, civil liberties and the economy”.
